The Library of Congress features an 1868 historical illustration, featured in Harper's Weekly, that depicts the United States Senate during the impeachment trial of President Andrew Johnson (D-TN)--who became the 17th President of the United States after President Abraham Lincoln was assassinated in April of 1865. The galleries are depicted above the senate floor filled with individuals while the senate floor itself is filled with senators. In the foreground, Johnson can be seen sitting at a table surrounded by his legal team.
