Youtube features a 2014 video, produced by the Aspen Institute, that discusses the Reconstruction Amendments, including the 13th Amendment--which abolished slavery and involuntary servitude except in cases where it is used as punishment for a crime, the 14th Amendment--which granted citizenship to individuals born or naturalized in the United States, and the 15th Amendment--which prohibits the denial of suffrage to any United States citizens based off of race. The video goes into detail about the African American struggle for equality in the United States and discusses the key legal struggles in the country that set the framework for the 1965 Voting Rights Act.
