An Enlightened American Statesman—“We must draw the line somewhere, you know.” The cartoon portrays the Chinese immigrant sitting next to a sign that says, “Notice—communist, nihilist—socialist, Fenian & Hoodlum welcome but no admittance to Chinamen.”
