The University of Utah, Department of Cultural & Community Engagement presents a historical illustration (c. 1876) of Chinese construction workers on the Central Pacific Railroad. The handwritten inscription on the illustration states, "Coaling on the Road at Wannemacker by Chinese Laborers." The drawing depicts several Chinese men carrying loads of coal with a steam engine train in the background.
