The Oregon History Project features an April 20, 1888 article, writer unknown from the Oregon Scout newspaper, which reprints an article from the Wallowa Signal about the alleged perpetrators of Snake River Massacre- a massacre where Chinese gold miners were killed in Oregon. The writer provides details on an alleged confession which included: the names of the men involved in the crime, the plot and the reasoning behind the crime, how they committed the act, what happened to the profits made from the robbery, and the whereabouts of the other men involved.
