The University of California, California Digital Newspaper Collection presents a September 30, 1891 article from the Sacramento Daily Union on a confession made about the perpetrators of the Snake River Massacre- a massacre where Chinese gold miners were ambushed and killed in Oregon in 1887. According to the article, a teenager confessed the details of the crime to his father before his (the son's) death. The father is quoted in the article with details about the ambush, robbery and murders.
