Description
The Digital Public Library of American features a lesson plan, created by Samantha Gibson, that aims to engage students in the analysis of primary source documents, such as the 15th Amendment--which prohibits the denial of suffrage to any United States citizens based off of race, to allow them to support their conclusions with evidence, ask logical questions to further their analysis, and to identify arguments being made by the sources. Components include: discussion questions, classroom activities, handouts, primary sources, and additional resources for teachers.
